DEMAR trekking shoes in the Valley of Five Polish Lakes
For mountain hiking enthusiasts ... Siklawa - just ten minutes from the shelter, water from the entire valley, collected in the Great Lake, flows down the Stawy threshold, creating the largest Tatra waterfall - Siklawa (approx. 70 m high).
The Valley of Five Polish Lakes is located at an altitude of approx. 1625-1900 m above sea level.
The shelter in Five Lakes is the only one in the Polish Tatras that cannot be reached by car (it is located at an altitude of 1670 m above sea level, the highest located shelter in Poland). Regardless of weather conditions, the shelter is open all year round.
The blue tourist trail running next to the Five Lakes shelter, leading from Morskie Oko to Hala Gąsienicowa through Zawrat is the oldest trail in the Polish Tatras. It has exceptional scenic values, of course in good weather. We recommend it!
